Task accomplished. Smart Ground Tacos made, no one knew the difference, in fact the exact quote from my husband was “those are killer tacos”. Oh he’ll never live this down. As soon as we told him they were soy protein tacos, not meat tacos, he of course said they tasted good because of all the spices and other goodies I put on the tacos. Actually I have to agree with him. But I think it really makes a difference when you are the one cooking as opposed to the one eating. Cooking with Smart Ground was not very appetizing for me. It really looks like dog food when you open it up and the consistency and texture is not appealing when you are cooking it. But when it is in the taco shell with onions, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, cheese, cilantro, salsa and whatever else you want to add, well it tastes great! So the moral of the story is, get someone else to cook Smart Ground for you and you’ll love it.
